MAKING CRAFT CHOCOLATE
Made with ethically sourced cocoa beans grown by farmers respecting human rights, biodiversity and cocoa forestry. Firstly the beans are hand sorted, carefully roasted, cracked and winnowed. We then stone grind the nibs with coconut sugar and cocoa butter before we temper and finally wrap these limited edition bars.

The history of chocolate can be traced back to ancient Mesoamerica, where the Mayans and Aztecs consumed chocolate in the form of a bitter drink made from cacao beans. The cacao tree was considered sacred and was often used in religious ceremonies. It wasn’t until the 16th century that chocolate was introduced to Europe, where it became a popular luxury item among the wealthy.
Over time, chocolate began to be produced in a variety of forms, including chocolate bars. The first-ever chocolate bar was made by the British company J.S. Fry & Sons in 1847. The company, which was based in Bristol, England, had been producing chocolate since the 18th century. However, it wasn’t until 1847 that they created a chocolate bar that could be mass-produced.
